Guest Information
- Arrival Time: The doors to the museum open at 5:30pm, and guests are strictly not allowed in until then. The ceremeony will begin promptly at 6:00pm, so please arrive as closely to 5:30pm as possible to find your seat.
- Transportation and Parking: We have rented "Ollie The Trolley" that will take guests to and from the La Vista Courtyard Marriott / Hilton Embassy and The Joslyn Art Museum. It will leave the Embassy at 5:00pm at the beginning of the night, and it will leave The Joslyn at 11:30pm at the end of night. The museum has a 255-spot parking lot available that can accomodate all guests. Regardless, we encourage everybody to take the trolley. If you are staying in a nearby hotel, we recommend walking, and we always encourage carpooling. Additionally, The Joslyn is located conveniently near the ORBT Bus 24th Street stop.
- Dinner & Drinks: A buffet dinner, drinks, and dessert will be served during the reception. There will be an open bar. We encourage everybody to have fun, but please do not get too drunk!
- Hotels: Majority of guests are staying at the La Vista Courtyard Marriott and Hilton Embassy. While we didn't get a reduced rate for people, this does allow us to use Ollie the Trolley!
Schedule
- 5:30pm: Arrival. Doors open for guests. Please arrive as closely to this time as possible to find your seat.
- 6:00 - 6:30pm: Ceremony. The ceremony will begin promptly at 6:00pm. Please be seated by this time.
- 6:30 - 7:30pm: Cocktail Hour. Once the ceremony has concluded, guests will have access to the bar and art galleries for an hour. The newlyweds will take photos during this time. Please note no drinks are allowed in the galleries.
- 7:30 - 11:00pm: Reception. The reception will include dinner, bar, toasts, dancing, pictures, and more! We will have a DJ playing music throughout the night.
- 11:30pm: Last Call. Last call for drinks will be at 11:00pm. We ask that all guests leave the venue by midnight.
- 11:15pm: Recessional. Will and Emma will exit the wedding on Ollie the Trolley. While all rentals will be cleaned up by the rental company the next morning, we are required to clean up our personal decorations before we leave. This includes the flowers, centerpieces, signage, menus, and anything else we bring. The bridal party will guide this cleanup, and if all able-bodied guests help, this will be extremely quick and easy for everyone. Ollie the Trolley will return to The Joslyn after dropping the newlyweds off. Guests can then take the trolley back to the hotels in La Vista.
Dress Code
The dress code for our wedding is Formal to Cocktail Attire. Think formal dresses, nicer cocktail dresses, dressy jumpsuits, traditional suits, jacket and tie, etc. We kindly ask no denim, shorts, hats, or white/ivory. If you are hesitant about a dress choice, you can never dress too nice!
